Our Family

David McCracken, DMD and Kelsey McCracken, Dental Assistant

Dr. McCracken grew up in Pocatello, Idaho. During high school he enlisted in the United States Army National Guard where he served his country for six years including an overseas deployment to Iraq. In the middle of this time he also served for two years as a missionary for his church. These years provided him with a desire to serve others, for which he’s very thankful.

During his military service, Dr. McCracken attended college at Idaho State University where he later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He then attended Case Western Reserve University for his dental training and earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. In order to pursue his education in all aspects of dentistry, he attended a one-year General Practice Residency program at the University of Utah. He then went to work in Billings, Montana for one year, and now he joins us in American Falls.

Dr. McCracken is a member of the American Dental Association, the Idaho State Dental Association, and the Southeast Idaho Dental Society. Outside of dentistry, he is also a member of the American Falls Chamber of Commerce.

Kelsey also grew up in Pocatello/Chubbuck area. She graduated from Highland High School, and she served as a missionary for a year and a half for her church in Viña del Mar Chile. While there she became fluent in Spanish. She attended to Idaho State University where Dr. McCracken stole her away, and took her to dental school with him.

During their spare time, Dr. McCracken and his wife Kelsey most enjoy being with their family which includes their two rambunctious daughters Londyn and Presley and their happy baby boy Wayde.

Dr. McCracken also enjoys the outdoors including camping, fishing, and running. He has so far ran a 50-mile ultra-marathon, a 100-mile ultra-marathon, and several conventional marathons.

Kelsey also enjoys exercising, spending time with her family in Pocatello, watching the show “The Office”, and outdoor activities like camping and fishing.

Dr. McCracken and his wife Kelsey are grateful to be in American Falls, and very happy to be able to be of service to the people of the community.
